Aircraft engine emission charges
To all airport users and Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA)
Determination referring the change of the aircraft engine emission charges model and of the respective "airport tariff" at Lugano Airport as of April 01, 2010
Within the procedure prescribed in the Swiss Federal Ordinance on Civil Aviation Infrastructure (Art. 32ff VIL) we herewith communicate the decision concerning the change of the aircraft engine emission charges model by April 01, 2010.
The implementation of the model change had been proceeded as follows:
- 05.11.2009: Publication of AIC 005/2209A regarding the planned emission charges
- 05.11.2009: Publication of the consultation document on the emission charges
- 15.01.2010: Publication of the consultation report on the SIAA website model change on the SIAA website
There have not beena any objections by FOCA and the Swiss price surveillance office against the new aircraft engine emission charges model as well as against the individual airport tariff for Lugano Airport within the consultation period.
For this reason, Lugano Airport herewith announces the change of the aircraft engine emission charges model with effect from April 01, 2010. The airport tariff will amount of CHF 3.40. The new aircraft engine emission charges model will be published in the Aeronautical Information Publication Switzerland (AIP).

Free netsurf at Lugano Airport
Now WiFi Lugano is available at the airport of Lugano Agno. At Lugano Airport further Web Check-in service: the boarding card directly on your mobile phone
The check-in and boarding processes are always more practical and faster for SWISS passengers, as a matter of fact, from 12th November 2009 thanks to the revolutionary Web Check-in system, you just need to have a mobile phone connected to Internet, through which you can directly receive your boarding card.
It has all the features of the usual paper travel document and is provided with a barcode that has to be shown at the check-in desk. It is also possible to buy items at the duty free shop, by simply showing the mobile phone in the same way as a normal boarding card. To be accepted on board, finally, you only need to pass the mobile phone above a special optical reader and show your personal identity document to the ground personal.
